Okay, I’m done yelling but got my point across.
One of the biggest goals Okon clients set out to accomplish is to see their abs, which is a pretty common end goal!
For many losing belly fat seems like a longgggg road, but what's more important is how dangerous stored body fat that surrounds the internal organs is. Excess fat makes it more difficult for organs to function properly.
This fat is also known as visceral fat, this type of fat circulates throughout your bloodstream which puts you at risk for Type 2 diabetes and heart disease!
But back to looking good and seeing those abs pop!
There are a few major key factors that will impact whether you will ever see your beloved abs.
#1 Is going to be what you eat!! Have you heard the term “abs are made in the kitchen?” Unfortunately for us foodies out there or anyone who loves food in general this can present a problem, coz, food.
We all have abs -- many of us just can't see them because there is a nice layer (or multiple) of subcutaneous fat covering those beauties up! Choosing the right foods will be vital to seeing all the hard work you’re doing to unveil them! Read about proper diet and nutrition here!
#2 Is to do exercises that are made to BURN ALL THE FAT! This comes second to diet as exercise is not only good for your cardiovascular health but it also helps aid your diet in burning through that unwanted belly fat! Need some good fat burning exercises? Find them here! Or sign up at the bottom!
IT THIS SIMPLE > GOOD DIET + EXERCISE = BURN ALL THE FAT = ABS BABY!
All that being said, that doesn't mean you don't need to do movements to help strengthen your core! So I have put together my list of some of the best core movements!
1. Tuck Crunches
2. Bicycles (can add loop band)
3. Slider Mt. Climbers
4. Russian Twists
5. Slider V-Ups
6. Banded Leg Lifts
7. Banded Flutter Kicks
These are great movements to really work your core + feel the burn!
Remember In order to lose belly fat and body weight safely, you must commit to a long-term program that combines goals specific exercises and proper nutrition!
When it comes to body fat, know your fats! There are two types of fat:
When you start a fat loss program visceral fat will be lost first, however the subcutaneous fat may take a little longer to lose, so be patient.
Give your body time to lose excess body fat, if it didn't take you 12 weeks to gain it all, it won’t take you 12 weeks to lose it!
